How to Turn a Cargo Van Into Your Home in One Hundred Thousand Easy Steps : ) - Part 2

I spent 3 glorious weeks in Kansas City with my best galpal Margaret. While there, I spiffed up the van a bit by adding shelves, color splashes, purple storage bins, and some fun fabric to cover the van's ribs and storage areas.

Here's the 'kitchen'. On the right, a mini-fridge that powers from the cigarette lighter (cool, huh?), on top of that a propane stove, on the left a metal file cabinet that serve as a kitchen cupboard, and in the center is storage behind the curtain. Above, shelves store food and kitchen equipment. The only problem is that the walls are not straight, so the shelf brackets tilt down in front. Bungee cords save the day!

My 'dresser', complete with a place for jewelry, an ancestral altar, and a live plant!

My closet and shoe bin behind the driver's seat.

Storage under my bed, and a roll up curtain over the back windows.

And tons of storage in the 'garage'.

Next up... heading back to Seattle.
